Statement:
I am inspired by colors and forms of nature which are
sometimes combined with common objects of my
environment. These natural and ordinary forms become
the elements that are translated into paintings. In this process,
the subtle transparencies and brilliance of the watercolor
medium play an integral part of the expression.
Bio:
I have painted in watercolor for the past twenty years.
Before that, I explored abstraction in acrylic painting
and printmaking. I taught part-time at Rockland Center
for the Arts, Dominican College Orangeburg, NY, and at
Beregen Community College. My MFA is from NYU and
I am a graduate of Clevenald Institute of Art where I was a
recipient of the Mary C. Page Scholarship which I used at
the Art Students League of New York.
