ARTIST’S STATEMENT
The materials used in my art work come out of trash bins, from roadsides and
the local dump. They were used in schools (milk cartons), business (Styrofoam
and cardboard) - as well as in our homes. Appliances, furniture, etc., everything
is protected by something that is discarded after a single use. Their interesting
shapes and the rhythm of their design appeal to me, and it has given me great
pleasure to transform these throw-aways into colorful 3-dimensional artwork.
